For more than forty years, we have stood beside individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, offering protection, compassion, and a clear path forward. We meet people where they are, listen without judgment, and provide the resources and support needed to rebuild their lives.
As the first trauma-informed, ATI-certified domestic violence shelter in the nation, Chrysalis has built its foundation on care, trust, and empowerment. From safe housing and counseling to legal advocacy and long-term support, our work is centered on helping people leave stronger than when they arrived.

We also believe lasting change means addressing the root causes of harm. That is why Chrysalis is the only domestic violence shelter in Maricopa County offering programs focused on accountability and behavior change, working to break cycles and build stronger futures.
What We Believe
That belief drives everything we do.
We believe people deserve safety, dignity, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
We believe healing happens when people feel protected, supported, and empowered.
We believe strength already exists within every person. Sometimes they just need someone to help them remember.
And we believe real change is possible, for individuals, families, and communities.
