Learn the Signs

What is domestic abuse?

It is a pattern of behaviors used by one partner to maintain power and control over another partner in an intimate relationship.

Not all abuse is physical. No abuse is okay.

Abuse can include emotional, economic, sexual, using children, threats, intimidation, isolation and a variety of other behaviors used to maintain fear, intimidation and power. Domestic abuse occurs regardless of age, race, ethnicity, mental or physical ability, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation/identity or religious background. Domestic abuse is rarely an isolated incident. Several indicators may point toward abuse.

If you are experiencing any of the warning signs, call our outreach office at 602-955-9059 or SAFEDVS at 800-799-7233 (SAFE) or text 88788.
